Perhaps you’ve seen the news that orcas are disabling rudders on sailboats? The question being asked is, why would they do this, and is it some kind of revenge?

Humans often consider themselves “under attack” from marine life, such as jellyfish or sharks. Yet we are simply in their kitchen when they’re looking for a snack. Sharks don’t want to eat people; it’s just that their bite to taste-test us is sometimes fatal, as is a sting from a jellyfish!

Orcas have never been known to hurt or harm humans in the wild, so this behavior by a small group of animals seems highly unlikely to be an “attack.” It’s more likely play or just curiosity.
